While AMD has yet to officially confirm the release of the Ryzen 50 chip, the company has released new BIOSes for its Ryzen chip boards. These BIOSes were last updated in summer 2020, and include fixes for a bug in the UEFI firmware that can lead to malware infection. They also enable Secure Boot and fTPM by default. Hopefully, these changes will allow AMD to make the next generation of CPUs more competitive in the market.

While there is a bit of speculation, the X370 is already proving to be a strong competitor for the B350, and it’s a good thing. It’s the B350 that’s the real winner, thanks to its remarkably powerful overclocking capabilities. With the Ryzen 5000 “Vermeer” BIOS, Ryzen 7000 series processors are expected to be compatible with the B350. The new BIOS update is also compatible with Ryzen 200-series processors, so Asus users can breathe a sigh of relieve. This BIOS update should also make the Smart Access Memory feature compatible with the Ryzen 50.

The updated BIOS is also a great step forward for overclocking the Ryzen 5 CPU. Asus has made available new BIOS versions for the B350 Tomahawk, X370, and Prime A320M-K. As with the new chipset, this update will help users of these boards. A320M-K and B350 owners can now breathe a sigh of relief.

Asus’ latest update is the AGESA 0.0.7.2 BIOS for the upcoming Ryzen 3000 and a320M-K. The AGESA 0.0.7.0 BIOS update is a great step forward for AMD’s next-generation CPUs. This BIOS will provide the necessary information for AMD’s first-generation processors.

A320M-E boards have also received a BIOS update for Ryzen 5000. Unlike Asus’s AGESA, the B350 has a good overclocking potential. A320M-E-capable M.2 slots are also a welcome addition. ASRock’s X370-E board is the most affordable motherboard on the list and is compatible with both AGESA and X370 chipsets.

Gigabyte and Asus updated AGESA on their boards last year, and the update has brought older models up to the latest version. This should make the Smart Access Memory feature work with the newest Ryzen processors. The AGESA code is also based on the latest AGESA code and is compatible with the B350 and X370.

Asus has also updated the BIOS of their B350 and X370M-K boards with the Ryzen 50. This is good news for X370M-K and B350 users. Despite the X370M-K’s compatibility with the new CPU, it remains the entry-level choice. Although the newest AMD chipsets are not compatible with the A320 chipsets, the B350 and A320M-K are still compatible.

Asus also updated their BIOSes for the Ryzen 3000, B350, and A320M-K. The BIOSes for these boards were based on the latest AGESA code. This code is the same as that for X370 and B350 chipsets. It’s a big deal for the A320M-K, but it’s good news for users of the A320M-K.

The B350 motherboards perform well when overclocking, and AMD’s X370 motherboards are much better. The X370 is the cheapest of the two, so it is easy to see which processor is best for you. The new CPUs will be compatible with a wider variety of mainboards. The B350’s features are a good start, but there are some niggles to be worked out before the final announcement.
